Park Entry Fees for Queen Elizabeth National Park
Queen Elizabeth National Park is one of the most visited wildlife reserves in Uganda and is managed by the Uganda Wildlife Authority. Visitors entering the park are required to pay park entry fees, which contribute to wildlife conservation, park management and tourism development. The Fees vary according to the visitor nationality, residency status, age, vehicle type and activities within the park.
1. Visitor Categories for Park Entry Fees
The Uganda Wildlife Authority classifies visitors into three main categories for entry fees:
Foreign Non-Residents (FNR) – International tourists who do not live in East Africa
Foreign Residents (FR) – Foreigners living in Uganda or other East African Community countries with valid permits
East African Citizens (EAC) – Citizens of countries in the East African Community (Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, and South Sudan)
2. Standard Park Entry Fees
Park entry fees are usually charged per person per day and are valid for 24 hours from the time of entry.

3. Vehicle Entry Fees
Visitors entering the park with vehicles must also pay vehicle entry charges, which help maintain park roads and infrastructure.
