1. Game Drives (Wildlife Safaris)

Game drives are the most popular activity in the park. Visitors travel in safari vehicles through open savannah plains to observe animals in their natural habitat. The areas you watch include; Kasenyi Plains, Ishasha Sector, Mweya Peninsula. The wildlife animals you watch include; Elephants, Buffaloes, Lions,
Leopards, Uganda kobs, Warthogs etc. You can watch the tree climbing lions at the Ishasha Sector located in the Southern part of the Park.

2. Boat Cruise on the Kazinga Channel

A boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel is one of the most exciting activities in the park. The channel connects Lake George and Lake Edward. During the cruise visitors can watch many wildlife animals which include; Hippopotamuses, Nile crocodiles, Buffaloes, Elephants etc. Other than the wildlife animals, you shall watch many bird species hence an ideal destination for photographic safaris and bird watching.

3. Chimpanzee Tracking in Kyambura Gorge

Chimpanzee trekking allows visitors to walk through the forest while tracking chimpanzees in their natural environment. Kyambura Gorge is often called the “Valley of Apes.” Visitors are guided by trained rangers who help locate chimpanzee groups and explain their behavior. You shall follow the varying trails looking for chimpanzee for a period of 2 to 4 hours and when you meet them, an hour is allowed in their presence taking many photos to keep.

Queen Elizabeth National Park is one of the best bird-watching destinations in Africa as the park consists of more than 600 bird species that are watched in areas like Kazinga Channel, Mweya Peninsula, Maramagambo Forest, Crater lakes. The bird species you watch include;
